Power Your Way Through Fall

After a scorching hot summer, the cooler fall weather feels amazing. But, leaves start to change with the weather.

Leaves changing colors is one of the prettiest parts of fall, but it also means there is a lot of work ahead once those leaves start to hit the ground.

Instead of spending hours raking up leaves this year, why not replace that old rake or blower that only works half of the time with something that is built to not only get the job done, but built to last.

If you aren’t sure if you need a new blower this season or not, think about these three things:

1) Does your blower consistently start?

2) If it does start, does it stay running?

3) When it is running, does it actually get the job done? Or is the airflow not what it used to be?

If you think it’s time for a new blower, we’ve taken the time to do all the research for you, but one thing is clear: you can’t go wrong with the EGO Power+ 530 or Stihl BGA 57.

While the EGO Power+ 530 or Stihl BGA 57 blowers might be more expensive than some of our Craftsman and DeWalt blowers, we recommend them for two reasons: they are high powered to help you get the job done right the first time and these high quality brands are built to last.

Buying a blower that you love in the first place will save you time and money down the line.

Not sure if the EGO Power+ 530 or Stihl BGA 57 is right for you? Here are a few things to think about:

Battery Run Time

When it comes to Stihl vs EGO blowers, EGO batteries have the longest run time on the market. EGO batteries last over an hour per charge and recharge in under an hour while the Stihl BGA 57 battery lasts about 25 minutes.

Note: Battery times will vary depending on what speed you are running the tool at. Higher speeds = less battery life.

Speed

The EGO Power+ 530 speed is unmatched. At 530 CFM, this blower will get the job done. The Stihl BGA 57 also does have some serious power compared to other brands. The Stihl BGA 57 has a speed of up to 365 CFM.

One of our favorite features that the EGO blower has is the ability to adjust the speed to fit your needs. It also features a turbo mode that has enough power to help you get even the toughest jobs cleaned up quickly.

Warranty/Lifespan

Both the EGO and Stihl blowers have similar warranties- they both offer a standard 3 year warranty. The EGO Power+ 530 offers a 5 year warranty on the tool and a 3 year warranty on the battery. While Stihl offers a 3 year warranty on the tool and the battery.

Maintenance Required

One of the biggest perks of a battery operated blower is the lack of maintenance required. No oil or gas to deal with- just charge the battery and get going!

Weight

When it comes to differences in weight, both blowers are within less than a pound of each other.

The EGO Power+ 530 weighs 7.4lbs and the Stihl BGA 57 weighs 7.8lbs.

Because these two blowers are so close in weight, we recommend picking each blower up next time you visit us. See which one feels the best to you. They each distribute their weight a little differently, so it really will come down to personal preference if weight is a deciding factor for you.
