Green with envy
A few weeks ago, one of our staff members decided to repaint some cabinets in their kitchen. They were looking for a perfect dark and moody color to use as an accent to bring out a little personality in a space they use ALL THE TIME these days.
While they settled on a deep navy blue color from Magnolia Home, they were really wishing for something more along the lines of a deep and moody jewel-toned green.
If only they’d of waited a few weeks- Magnolia just released a new color that literally makes them green with envy!
1905 Green
1905 Green is the first new color to be added to the Magnolia Home paint color line that launched in 2016. And, trust us, this is the green we have all been looking for.
If you are a Magnolia fan, this new color is actually the color that Chip and Joanna Gaines painted the inside and outside of their new coffee shop, Magnolia Press, with.

In a statement about this amazing color, Joanna Gaines says “While working on the design concept for our coffee shop, I was flipping through paint swatches and found myself drawn toward two different colors—a deep blue, and a jewel-tone green. The idea of combining them to create a custom color is how 1905 Green came to be. I love the way this moody, dark green comes to life on the walls, balancing depth and sophistication with familiarity and comfort.”
